Pumpkin Patch Hopping

 This Fall, I went to four pumpkin patches... that has to got to be my new PR. 😆 If I could, I would live on a pumpkin patch. But that's not the case, so every chance I would get, I was at the patch.

Apple Picking

Went apple picking for the first time this fall and loved it! I didn't realize how many different kinds of apples there are. Picked a few apples to make my mothers famous apple pie. (I actually have the pie crust chilling in the fridge as we speak). After going this year, I will definitely be going every year for the rest of my life. Took a few pictures of my experience. Hope you guys enjoy! And if you've never gone apple picking, you have too! It is a must-do for fall! 

Triple B Muffins

I had been wanting to share a recipe that included blueberries, but wasn't 100% positive on what to make. Then I realized I had six overripe bananas in the freezer so I knew exactly what to make.

Summer Berry Pie

I discovered this pie when I crashed my friends family reunion. There was lots of delicious food served and one of the many was this delicious pie that her mom traditionally makes every year for the fourth of July. The day was particularly hot, so it was nice to have a pie that was cold and refreshing. Its a no-bake pie with a JELL-O filling and LOTS of berries. Berries are in season, so its the perfect time of the year to make this pie! Go pick some berries at your local berry farm and make this pie for your festivities!

Life Update

I feel like this post has been long over due, but kept putting it off because a lot of uncertainty in my life right now. I've told most of my friends (which are probably most of my readers lol), and am now ready to write about it.

So I'm just going to "blurt" it out and then I'll explain...

Dress for the Dock

Shirt dresses/casual dresses are my favorite kind of dresses. Probably because they are the most comfortable (they're practically like wearing a big t-shirt) and you can't go wrong with that. Little secret: I actually hated wearing dresses as a kid, so shirt dresses are a stepping stone for me :).  I really don't have a large collection of dresses, but as Summer is creeping around the corner, it's definitely something that I'm wanting/needing more of. Check below for a few that I'm interested in right now. Enjoy! 

Strawberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake

I decided to take my favorite cream cheese coffee cake recipe (original) and make it into something more springy/summery by adding strawberries. The original is SO good on its own, adding strawberries to it, made it twice as good. I made this for a potluck we had on Easter and it was a big hit. I wasn't able to serve it until after everyone had eaten dinner and dessert because I didn't get it into the oven until everyone had arrived. But there was a few people that waited and didn't eat any dessert to have some room in tummies for the cake. They all said, "totally worth the wait". You should definitely make this the next time you're invited to a potluck or dinner party.
