Spontaneous Trip

Saturday, January 13, 2018

I’m going to start off by saying I don’t travel much. I’ve only ever been to Mexico to visit family and once to California when I was in middle school. It’s not that I don’t like traveling. I feel like I haven’t travelled enough to have an opinion on traveling 😂. Anyways I’m saying this because it’s sort of a big deal to me for where I’m going in a couple days (which I’ll get to in a minute).

Pumpkin Patch Hopping

Friday, November 17, 2017

This Fall, I went to four pumpkin patches... that has to got to be my new PR. 😆 If I could, I would live on a pumpkin patch. But that's not the case, so every chance I would get, I was at the patch.

Here's a few pics from my time spent at the pumpkin patches. Enjoy!

Apple Picking

Sunday, October 22, 2017

Went apple picking for the first time this fall and loved it! I didn't realize how many different kinds of apples there are. Picked a few apples to make my mothers famous apple pie. (I actually have the pie crust chilling in the fridge as we speak). After going this year, I will definitely be going every year for the rest of my life. Took a few pictures of my experience. Hope you guys enjoy! And if you've never gone apple picking, you have too! It is a must-do for fall!

Life Update

Monday, June 26, 2017

I feel like this post has been long over due, but kept putting it off because a lot of uncertainty in my life right now. I've told most of my friends (which are probably most of my readers lol), and am now ready to write about it.

So I'm just going to "blurt" it out and then I'll explain...

Birthday Sledding

Sunday, January 22, 2017

Sledding on my birthday sort of has become a tradition now. My birthday is three days after Christmas so its the perfect time of the year to go for a sled. (Wow, I just realized how late this post is...) My friends and I went two years ago, and we went again last year (last month lol), and we'll probably be going again this year. All of my friends work during winter break, including myself, so we hardly to get to see each other, except for on my birthday.

Delayed Holiday Outfit

Wednesday, January 4, 2017

SOO embarrassing that I'm just now posting my holiday outfit, but I really wanted to share so I'm posting anyways. lol Speaking of the holidays, I'll take this time to write about how my holidays went! So I finished finals on Friday, December 9th. I know its ridiculous that I'm writing about something that happened last year! 😆 Soo long ago! (Yeah, I'm still telling that joke). Anyways, I didn't go home til' Monday, December 12th and I started working the very next day in the morning. Like I mentioned before on a previous blog post, I work at a cute little bakery in Leavenworth, WA. Leavenworth is known as "the little Christmas town" or "the town of lights". It's super cute during the holidays. Every shop and every tree is covered with lights. And for that reason, the holiday season is the busiest time of the year! And I mean BUSY. They have to close all the streets to have enough room for all the tourists. At the bakery I work, we get a line that goes out the door and goes as far as to the end of the street. And the line never ends until we close. It is insane. But I absolutely love it. Everyone is in such a cheerful mood from being in the holiday spirit and I get to bake cookies all day long!

Here's the bakery I work at!  ⤵  :)

What I've Been Up To

Sunday, December 4, 2016

This past week was pretty crazy. First off, it was dead week (the week before finals) so I had lots of studying that I needed to do but had a hard time doing so because I had my first cookie order! Decorating cookies is something that I love to do, and it would be a dream to do it as a living. Doesn't that just sound like the best job ever. "What do you do?" "Oh I decorate cookies" lol. I don't know about you, but that sounds like the best job ever to me. And maybe too good to be true... but we'll see. :)

The order was 80, cute but simple, snowflakes. The design was new to me, but I loved making them! I love learning new designs and I think I'll be using this design again in the future. I was worried about how much space I would be taking over in the apartment, but my four roommates were really understanding about it. Who doesn't love waking up to the smell of sweet cookies? 😆

The cookies were due Friday in the afternoon. I started them on Tuesday, worked all day Wednesday, and finished them on Thursday. Just in time to deliver them the next day. The drive was about three hours away so I would of delivered them Thursday, but my mom didn't like the idea of me driving three hours in the dark, which is understandable since it gets dark so early now a days.

The cookies were a hit! Everybody loved them. I got many compliments in person and online. I do have another order due soon and I can't wait to show you what designs I'll be doing. Stay tuned!

Just a little reminder for myself and maybe for you: "Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people." (Colossians 3:23) 💛

Christmas Apartment Decor

Thursday, December 1, 2016

I decided to do an apartment decor post because of the many sweet compliments I was getting. :) Thank you for those by the way!

When I decorate my "home away from home" place (i.e. apartment or dorm room), I like to decorate with things that aren't specifically for Christmas. If I'm going to be spending money for decorations, I want to be able to use them for more than just the month of December. And I won't even be at my apartment for most of it because I'll be going home for winter break. That's why I decorate the place more for just winter in general. Snowman, snowflakes, trees with a little snow frost (not ornaments), etc. I want it to be worth the money I spend, so I would like to be able to use them for at least two months. Now at home, where I'll actually be spending Christmas, I go ALL out.

Anyways, now onto the pictures! First I'll show you a picture of what it looked like originally just so you can see what I added or changed.
